Snapchat is a fun way to keep in touch with your friends and share the things that make you laugh. However, sometimes it doesn’t work perfectly which can be super frustrating for those who use them.
Some Snapchatters have been experiencing the “pending” and gray send arrow messages on their messages. What does pending mean on snapchat? Here’s what we know.

Do you know how the word “pending” is used in everyday life? Well, it actually means the same thing on Snapchat. Basically, this tells you that your message has been stuck for some time now and just needs action. You might also see a gray arrow next to where sent them. When you try to send a message and it says “pending,” that could be because you are not friends with the person you’re sending the message to. That could mean they’ve removed your name from their contacts.
If you see a gray “pending” arrow on your friend’s list, don’t despair! It could mean that they missed the request and will get back to you soon. It is possible that the app has glitches, so don’t be afraid to uninstall and reinstall. You might also need to sign back in after installing.
I like when Snapchat shows people “pending” meaning they unfollowed you. Fine by me t’f lol

If you still cannot get your Snap or Chat to send, try contacting them through other means. Don’t worry, even if they’ve removed you from their friend list. You’ll still be able to see everything that they have made public. When you remove someone from your friend’s list, the same thing goes for you. This is definitely handy to keep in mind and avoid any potentially awkward encounters.

The “pending” gray arrow’s appearance on Snapchat is dependent upon the privacy settings that a user has chosen. If they have selected ‘Everyone in their Who Can Contact Me’ section, then all messages sent to them will go through– even from strangers.
We hope this clears up any confusion about Snapchat. Hopefully, all of your future chats and Snapchats will get to their intended recipient without a problem.
