This article contains spoilers for those who haven’t caught up with Dexter: New Blood.
Dexter: New Blood brings us to Chloe who is played by Skyler Wright. Though many characters are central in this sequel series; Chloe stands out thanks to her green hair and bold decisions. Skyler Wright is a relatively new actress to the scene, but her performance has left fans blown away. So where have we seen Skyler before? And will there be more of Chloe appearing throughout this season?
When she first appears in Dexter: New Blood, Chloe is talking to the town mayor Kurt Caldwell (Clancy Brown). People in the diner start talking about this green-haired girl, and even Dexter notices Kurt hanging out with this girl. As we learn in their conversation, it seems like Chloe is having trouble making ends meet. She’s living on her own with very little money and resources.
When Kurt gives Chloe money for a bus ticket, she spends it on food instead. When she asks for more money, he knows that it will just end up wasted on something else. He then offers her a job, but it seems like she’s turning down the offer. Then he offered this spare room in his cabin and everything began feeling sketchy.
When Chloe arrives at Kurt’s cabin, he informs her that she can stay as long as desired with “meals included.” However she tried to leave, she can’t get out of the cabin. When she screams and hears footsteps above her, Chloe finds a camera with the words “You’re already dead” scribbled on its surface.
When she takes off her shirt, Kurt got frustrated over a loudspeaker saying: “Stop it! This is not what this is about.” Chloe knew she had to fight for her life, so when Kurt decided to let go of her, Chloe took a shard of a broken mirror and sliced across Kurt’s face. Kurt ended up shooting Chloe twice.
Skyler may appear in at least one more episode of Dexter: New Blood, so there’s still hope for fans who want to see her. Skyler Wright may not have had many major roles up until this point, but she is definitely an accomplished actress. She captured our hearts in only two episodes of Dexter: New Blood, but she has been on screen since 2011.
