Jacob Tremblay, a two-year-old Oscar-worthy actor and internet sensation has been in the spotlight for years. But what many people might not know is that behind every cute-faced kid from Internets fame there’s an adorable couple who raised him – his parents Jason and Christina Tremblay.
Jacob’s parents were first introduced to fans at the 2016 Academy Awards. 9-year-old Jacob, an actor nominated in Room posed with them on his red carpet debut.
Jason and Christina are both very talented people, just like their son. Jacob’s mother, Christina is a homemaker and his dad Jason works as a police detective. The family moved from Vancouver Canada to British Columbia where they currently reside.
The hashtag #HotDad started trending after fans saw photos of Christina and Jason, who have been married for nearly twenty years at the 2016 Golden Globe awards.
The Hot Dad himself responded when asked to respond to the #HotDad Twitter trend on the Oscars red carpet “It’s not a bad thing to be called,” before Christina chimed in to say, “It’s why I married him, right?!”
Jacob’s older sister, Emma is also an actress. It’s obvious that their family is talented. Emma was one of the first people to be cast in a major motion picture. She has starred alongside Matt Damon’s character on Elysium. She also got her to break as an actor by guest-starring on Supergirl TV show.
Jacob’s parents have been the best support system for him throughout his career. He owes his success to them. Most recently, Jacob was announced being the voice of Flounder in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid. Jacob has starred in movies such as Good Boys, about sixth graders up to no good; Doctor Sleep, a long-awaited sequel from Stephen King’s The Shining.
But that’s not all Jacob has been up to. Justin Bieber released his music video for the song “Lonely” where he played a younger version of himself. Luckily, Jacob’s parents are always there for him.
Jacob did a spin on Take Your Kid To Work Day in a 2016 promotional tour for Room with his dad. Jacob’s favorite part about Take Your Kid To Work Day is getting to sit in the “cool police car” and hang out with the officer.
It’s awesome to see Jacob juggling work and being a kid. He sounds like he is having the time of his life.
