On Live with Kelly and Michael, Michael Strahan is a former football player who is now an on-air personality.
In 2003, he married Nicole Murphy, his college love. The additional indicators that point to him being gay seem more numerous than usual if you’ve ever been curious about that.
To counter this accusation, many point out that he has never spoken publicly about his sexuality (and neither have any of his friends), that he has always kept the media at a distance, and that no one ever said anything derogatory about his sexual orientation throughout his time as an athlete.
Let’s get to know him a little better!
November 21, 1971, was the date that Michael Strahan was born. In high school, he was a defensive end for Westbury High School and subsequently transferred to Texas Southern University to play football. The New York Giants selected him in the third round in 1993 after he had a good playing career in college.
Professional Career
Strahan began his professional career with the New York Giants and was named to the Pro Bowl seven times. After winning Super Bowl XXXV against the New England Patriots in 2003, he decided to retire from football. Since his retirement, Strahan has made several guest appearances on television, including on The Simpsons and Fox NFL Sunday’s anchor (from 2004 to 2015).
National Football League (NFL)
Strahan made seven Pro Bowl appearances as a New York Giants player and won one championship.
Personal accolades include being designated one of UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassadors, receiving the Michael Strahan Award in 2009 for his efforts with the Boys and Girls Club of America, and being presented with a key to the city of New York by Mayor Rudy Giuliani when he retired from football in 1999.

Is Michael Strahan a homosexual?
Even though there are numerous hints that Michael Strahan might be gay, he has never talked openly about his sexuality. No one ever said anything wrong about his sexual orientation to him during his time as a professional athlete. He’s been married to Nicole Murphy since 2003, and he’s been keeping a low profile since then. There is some evidence to suggest that Michael Strahan is gay, although this has yet to be proven definitively.
Sexual Myths and Lies
It’s no secret that since he departed from the NFL, Strahan has been accused of homosexuality.
Friends with Lance Bass (NSYNC member) participated in an episode of The Simpsons where he was seen kissing another man, which led to speculation about his sexuality. After tying the knot with Nicole Murphy in 2003, Strahan and Murphy have since called it quits.
Michael Strahan Now
Michael Strahan has remained quite active after his retirement from football in 2007. One of his most prominent TV roles has been as co-host of ABC’s Live with Kelly and Michael, broadcast every weekday.
During his tenure as a Fox NFL Sunday anchor (2004–2015), he was selected to be a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, which he was in 2015. His performance on Fox NFL Sunday earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host in 2015 and induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
