Manifestation is all about attracting what you want. It’s a law of the universe, and The Secret detailed how to use this power, a 2006 bestselling book, which sold more than 30 million copies. And these leaders agree that you really can manifest things: Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Gabrielle Bernstein, Iyanla Vanzant, and Oprah.
Manifesting isn’t about waiting for what you want, it’s taking steps towards your dreams and making them a reality. So, don’t count on it happening overnight. In our humble opinion, it’s a small price to pay for something that can have such an immense impact on your life.
Oprah told LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner in 2015, “You control a lot by your thoughts and we control a lot by our joined thoughts…by what I [and we] believe. When I started to figure that out for myself, I became careful of what I think and what I ask for,” she explained. “I was like what else can I do? What else can I manifest, because I have seen it work? I have seen it happen over and over again.”
Do you want to give manifestation a try? Here are the steps experts propose that will help manifest anything in your life, including money and love.
What is manifestation?
Manifestation is making your dreams a reality through attraction and belief. But, there’s more to manifestation than just positive thinking and willpower.
The author of A Spiritual Entrepreneur, Angelina Lombardo, said: “manifesting is making everything you want to feel and experience a reality… via your thoughts, actions, beliefs, and emotions.”
How to start manifesting?
Every manifestation approaches differently, but it all starts with knowing what you want. “You are the only one who dreams your dreams, so whether it’s a new partner and a healthy relationship or a better job, know it and own it,” Lombardo says.
Lombardo says, “The more clear and concise, the better.” for example: “I want to meet my soulmate,” The more detailed the better. Think of a person and imagine what they would look like. (qualities, characteristics, values, etc.). When you want something, it’s important not just to have an intention but also to be specific about what that is.
Ask what you truly desire and write it down
After you figure out what your hopes, dreams, and goals are, then ask the universe for what your heart desires. You can do this in n a variety of ways like prayer, meditation, visualization, speaking your intentions out loud, a vision board, or making a “future box” (a box full of pictures of items you want to manifest).
Another way is writing your intention on paper. If you are a Tiktok user, you may be familiar with the 369 method. The idea is, you write what you want in the following order: 3 times during the morning, 6 times in the afternoon, and 9 more at night for 33 or 45 days.
Start working towards your goals
“Manifesting is also known as co-creating because it’s a collaboration between you and the Universe.” according to the author of Super Attractor and The Universe Has Your Back, Gabrielle Bernstein. The easier part is knowing what you want, but getting there won’t be easy which is exactly why you need to take action- without it, there will be no results. Set aside some time for reflection and decide on the steps that will get your goals accomplished. Make it a routine. For instance, if you want to make a major shift in your career, start building relationships with people in your new field of work and start practicing for an interview right away.
Lombardo said, “Another way to be ‘in action’ when manifesting is to ask yourself the question, ‘What would my future self be thinking?’” You can (and will) achieve success when you reframe your mind. “‘Being’ the person who already has, does, and feels your goals, dreams, and desires helps you become that person,” she added.
Next Step: Be mindful and thankful for what you receive
You don’t always get what you want, but if and when it happens- no matter how big or small it may be – be grateful for the things that do come your way. To do this, make a gratitude journal and spend five to ten minutes writing down the things you are grateful about.
Let go of any resistance and limiting beliefs
Clear your mind of limiting beliefs and barriers like fear and negative self-talk to see what’s really there. Oprah said during an episode of Oprah’s Lifeclass, “Telling yourself you’re not good enough, you’re not worthy enough, you’re not smart enough, you’re not enough—it’s a tape that’s playing for a lot of people.” She continued, “If you’re not conscious of that, then you end up acting out of that belief system and not what you know to be the truest or want to be the truest for yourself. You don’t become what you want because so much of wanting is about living in the space of what you don’t have.”
The first step to overcoming your limiting beliefs is figuring out what they are. To do this, ask yourself: What are the beliefs I have about myself that may be inhibiting my progress? write down your answers and replace any negative feelings with positive ones.
Check and change your energy
“The energy we put out in the world is the energy we get back,” Oprah says in The Wisdom of Sundays. It means that If you’re constantly sending out negative energy, then that is what will come back to you. You may be able to attract more positivity if you shift your energy! This practice is sometimes referred to as raising the vibrations.
You know what? It’s easy to lift your energy. Just focus on activities that make you happy and joyous—whether it be doing something kind for somebody else. You can start each morning with a meditation session or even take some time for yourself by going on an adventure. even treating yourself to some well-deserved self-care, or spending the day outside is always good too.
Be flexible and trust the process
There is nothing more powerful than faith. As long as you have a strong belief, anything can happen and your actions will lead to success.” trust your actions, visions, and clarity as well as the ‘powers that be,'” Lombardo says.
You can manifest love
“Once you start dialing in your manifestation process, there’s no limit to what—or how often or much—you manifest,” Lombardo explains. Manifesting anything and everything, you can potentially attract whatever comes your way. “This includes new friendships and romantic relationships.” That said, you should only manifest individuals who will help you achieve success.
“You’ll only want to attract people who are attracted to the person you are becoming. Of course, this might mean the exclusion of a few exciting prospects, but I’m sure you’d agree that you’ll be happier with someone who’s aligned with the ‘you’ that’s making big moves.” If you want to manifest love, the first step is effort.
You can manifest money
The author of Manifesting Your Dreams, Marla McKenna, the secrets to manifesting your finances are rooted in gratitude and hard work. “The trick for manifesting money is looking at the abundance you already have and expressing gratitude for it,” McKenna says. “So even if you’re struggling to pay bills, raise your vibration and block any limiting beliefs by welcoming the money and prosperity that is on the way. In short, focus on what you have, not what you don’t have.”
The fastest way to manifest something you want
According to McKenna, if you see it and feel it, you will achieve it. “The easiest way to manifest anything is to be clear about what you want. Don’t give the universe mixed signals… and take action. Working toward your goals is imperative.”
Ask the universe for what you want and watch out, because signs of achievement or success are sure to follow.
