Jetta Fosberg is a loving 10-year-old girl who wanted to make a difference in society.
She grew her hair out long and did the unthinkable for a girl her age. She hall it cut all off to donated it to “Wigs for Kids,” an organization that creates wigs from donated hair for children with cancer.
After Jetta’s hair stylist cut off 14 inches, she demanded that more be cut off so she could donate more wigs to children.
Most children are attached to their hair, Jetta was perfectly happy with her short hairdo and looked adorable.
Her first day of school, Jetta was bullied for “looking like a boy.” Jetta’s mother, Heidi, shared Jetta’s story on Facebook hoping to inspire others. She created the “Stand With Jetta” Facebook page in order to stand up for victims of bullying.
Jetta has no regrets, despite the bullying. She says, “It was the right thing to do and it makes me feel good.” The support has poured in for Jetta from all over the world, and the page currently has over 121,000 likes.
